This old silver button was possibly made from an old coin and heavily oxidized. It features an image of St. Rupert of Salzberg holding a salt-measure in his right hand, and a crosier in his left, and measures ¾” in diameter. Post 1922, Austrian hallmarked RS, Toucan Head (W identifying Vienna), and 800 on shank. Smooth back except for the shank. Beautifully crafted and in wonderful condition!
